Cabinetry and furniture, by Schrocks of Walnut Creek, is built by experienced cabinet makers using good old-fashioned joinery techniques. Our products feature solid, all-wood construction with stained and finished interiors.

Hardwood face frames (cabinet fronts) are assembled using mortise and tenon joinery (not dowels or screws). For added durability, these face frames are tongue & grooved to the cabinet shelves and to shelf frames (they are not nailed through the front).

Cabinet doors are all hardwood with a solid wood floating panel within a frame that, in addition to being coped together, is also mortise & tenoned for maximum durability.

A mortise & tenon hardwood shelf frame at the top of the base cabinets and below each drawer makes a sturdy and square cabinet. These frames are grooved into the cabinet ends and tongue & grooved into the face frame. Cabinet can be screwed into the wall through this frame, making a very strong installation.

European concealed hinges available with soft-close feature for some appllications. Also availabe are butt hinges for inset doors and knife hinges for standard offset doors.

Wall cabinets have hardwood adjustable shelves.

Drawers feature 9/16" hardwood sides, 1/4" plywood bottoms and finger dovetail construction.

Interior accessories are constructed of hardwood using french dovetailing.

The catalyzed Resistovar II varnish used by Schrocks was designed for table tops and is applied with our state-of-the-art finish system, resulting in a tough finish. The stains are hand rubbed. Pressurized finish room and spray booths assure a dust free environment and beautiful results.

The top of wall and tall cabinets are capped off with a finished board for ease of cleaning.

Schrocks uses the best concealed drawer slides in the industry. A self-closing 4 track ball-bearing system by Hettich provides outstanding stability, smooth, precise movement and optional soft-close feature.
